I accidentally squeezed  way  too much red out of the tube of watercolor for my previous piece, so I had to use it on something! Everything worked out nicely for it though because my friend has a winter birthday and also loves bright colors, so I painted her this little guy for her. Although, the photo really can't do justice to the variety of reds in this cardinal. I had such a good time exploring how many shades just one color really has.  originalartbyem@gmail.com

I have to say out of everything I put on cards, such as birds, little scenes, elephants, hearts, splashy watercolor fun, and all that, botanicals are my favorite. Something about arranging leaves or flowers and painting them and letting my brush carry me away makes me so happy.  So here's a little seasonal botanical card I made.
