Portfolio

This cute little girl was my first commission. Look at those big eyes! She certainly was a pleasure to paint.

My mother wanted to step up her Easter decorations, so after seeing an Easter card I painted she had me do a little set of bunnies.

This little landscape was so much fun to paint! I was trying out a new meathod/technique I saw on the Strathmore art videos (I hightly to reccomend all watercolor artists) and managed to come up with this magical little river scene.

Little herb botanicals make the best little kitchen decorations and so I painted these cute little sprigs and my mother, a talented calligraphist, wrote the herb names.

Michigan has some of the most picturesque lighthouses. This one is Big Sable Point Lighthouse on Lake Michigan.

Another lighthouse (Crisp Point on Lake Michigan) I did for my mother for her birthday.

All these are just little sketch/practices I did for fun.

Drawing horses are very different than drawing rabbits. Here's the difference: rabbits are fluffly and chubby and usually are all bundled up in themselves, but horses are very much the opposite, so porportions really matter because you can tell if there is something off. These were two practices I did in my sketchbook.

These are some ducks I did with Japenese ink. Six little ducklings for my siblings and I.

I did this after watching one of the Strathmore art videos. I promise it's not just my drawing, but the subject was kind of creepy to begin with.

Anatomy practice.

These are two excersises I did inspired by DaVinci, my idol artist when it comes to drawing people.

These are my hand sketches. They look nice; just ignore the bunny's rear sticking out on the edge of the paper.

This is a set of watercolor chickadees I did. I love the cute, clever little birds that inspired me to paint chickadees!

Here's a chickadee with a background. I was feeling dramatic that day.
